The Story Wines is a boutique winery based in the suburbs of Melbourne, making wines from the Grampians and a collection of Victorian regions. Established in 2004 among the ‘new wave’ of young, ‘hands-off’ Victorian winemakers, The Story has built its reputation and quality to now be poured in Australia’s best restaurants, be recognised as a Five Star Producer and named in the Top 100 wineries in Australia by James Halliday’s Wine Companion.
THE STORY WINES
Winemaker Rory Lane crafts elegant and intriguing wines from a collection of Victoria’s best vineyards. With a passion for the historic Grampians region of Western Victoria, each vintage he creates new expressions of Rhône varieties, along with the region’s iconic old vine Shiraz. Delicious Riesling, Prosecco Col Fondo and the occasional Pinot - he makes them too.
THE STORY GIN
We belive that gin reflects the origin of its ingredients and champion local botanicals to craft a gin that tastes distinctly Australian. Now proudly onto our tenth batch of Story Gin, we and also play around with aging gin in wine and Sherry casks, in our very limited and very tasty Barrel Aged Gin.
